Global Components Manager.
Carl-Johan has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. He started working at Husqvarna Group in 2004.
Why did you start working at Husqvarna Group?
After finishing my thesis in 2004, I was offered a job in a chainsaw project. At first, I was only responsible for some pieces in plastics, but at the end of the project, I was almost responsible for the entire production process. Then I became project manager for a new project and in 2010 I was offered today’s position.
What are your responsibilities?
The team works with the development of the engines in our handheld products, such as trimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and blowers. This means improving quality, reducing product costs, developing entirely new products as well as raising the awareness of how these work in order to be as efficient as possible.
What does it mean to you, to work for a global company?
Working globally provides great opportunities and it gives me the chance to work with the most advanced technology on the market.
What is your favorite product?
Our product range contains many treasures but I am very impressed by our latest generation of chainsaws with 560XP.
