Becoming Vend

Vend’s story began more than 180 years ago, with a printing house in Oslo. What started as a small publishing operation grew into Schibsted, one of the Nordics’ most trusted company in news, innovation, and digital services.

In 2024, Schibsted took an important step forward. To unlock the full potential of both sides of the business, Schibsted separated into two independent companies. The media operations, including many leading Nordic news brands, were sold to the Tinius Trust, Schibsted’s largest shareholder. The media company continues its important role in society under the Schibsted name.
