Health & Safety Manager

We’re now looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join our Technical & Commercial Management (TCM) team and ensure our operational sites meet the highest standards in health, safety, and environmental performance.

You’ll work across our portfolio of renewable energy assets (including wind, grid, solar PV, and BESS), supporting both field operations and TCM management team. This is a key hands-on role in building and maintaining a strong HSE culture across our operational sites and helping OX2 reach its goal of becoming a leader in HSE by 2030.

Your role

As Health & Safety Manager, you’ll take the lead in developing and monitoring OX2 TCM’s HSE practices – both in the office and out in the field. You’ll work closely with technicians, site managers, and contractors to ensure a safe, compliant, and proactive working environment.

You’ll also collaborate with the central OX2 HSE team and report to the Head of Technical Management TCM.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations across OX2’s managed wind farms and other assets.
  • Develop and implement practical HSE routines and procedures that work in real operational environments.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits together with local teams and contractors.
  • Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency exercises.
  • Manage incident and deviation reporting, ensuring lessons are learned and improvements implemented.
  • Support management and project teams with HSE advice and documentation.
  • Represent OX2 in HSE-related matters with clients, contractors, and authorities.

Who you are

You’re a safety-driven, hands-on professional with solid experience from the wind industry or other technical operational environments. You enjoy being out on site, collaborating with colleagues and contractors, and making sure safety is part of daily operations.

You likely have:

  • Several years of experience in health & safety, operations, or technical management within the wind industry or similar.
  • Good understanding of wind farm operations, maintenance activities, and related safety risks (working at heights, electrical works, heavy lifts, etc.).
  • Experience with safety audits, incident reporting, and compliance follow-up.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage people around safety culture.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
  • Certifications such as GWO, BAS P/U, Electrical Safety, and First Aid are a plus (training can be provided).

A university degree is not a requirement – relevant experience and a genuine commitment to health and safety are what matter most.
