Project Manager

We help customers optimize their operations, drive business value, and secure vital functions. Our business unit Smart Transport provides fleet and transport management systems which use data-driven analytics to assist fleet operators in optimizing their operations and reducing their costs.

We are now looking for a motivated and driven Project Manager to join our team in Northampton!

About the job
The Project Manager will report to the Head of Operations, and will be responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience from sale to project delivery. Acting as the single point of accountability, this role delivers projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction In this role, your responsibilities will be:

• Customer engagement
  • Initiate customer contact within two working days of deal approval.
  • Define project scope, including hardware requirements, vehicle specifications, special configurations, and key milestones.

• Project Management
  • Manage installation projects from start to finish, whether for a single vehicle or a fleet of 100,000, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors.
• Vendor Coordination
  • Ensure that the appropriate engineers, with the correct qualifications, are selected and dispatched to installation sites.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Coordinators to ensure all system updates are accurate and enable smooth material dispatch by the DC team.
• SLA Compliance
  • Lead bookings and resource planning to meet service-level agreements and prevent delays or rework.
  • Proactively address potential bottlenecks to maintain project momentum and customer satisfaction.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the installation process.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and vendors to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Operational Efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance installation workflows, reduce rework costs, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying areas for scalability and future growth.
• Customer Experience Leadership
  • Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring every installation meets the highest quality standards and reflects positively on the business.
  • Gather feedback to improve customer satisfaction and retention rates.

About you
The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with a goal-oriented and flexible mindset. You will have strong project management skills and the ability to engage customers and teams. Additionally, you will have:

• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, with the ability to analyze data and track project progress.
• Problem-solving expertise to address and resolve challenges efficiently.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively and ensure operational alignment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Preferred certifications: PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent.

This role will be based at our Northampton warehouse, but we work a hybrid model, allowing for 2-3 days home-working per week.
