Systems Integration Test Lead

Step into the role

As a Systems Integration Test Lead, you will ensure the robust delivery of customer-facing defense IT projects by leading verification and validation (V&V) strategies that align system performance with regulatory and contractual expectations. The role involves mitigating technical and compliance risks through structured planning and execution of environmental, functional, and electromagnetic testing across the system lifecycle. It also includes building confidence among customers and certifying authorities by coordinating evidence-based acceptance activities that enable smooth handover and deployment of mission-critical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system-level V&V processes, templates, and performance metrics for defense-grade IT platforms.

• Define and manage verification plans across functional and environmental testing domains.

• Serve as primary liaison to customers and accredited labs during test planning and reviews.

• Analyze test results and trace non-conformities to design actions and root cause feedback.

• Lead V&V reporting at engineering gate reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) to support release decisions.

• Maintain up-to-date traceability and compliance records in PLM and requirements management systems.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Electronics, or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in system-level verification and validation (V&V) within rugged IT, embedded, or defense-related projects.

• Proven ability to plan, execute, and document environmental and functional testing in accordance with industry and customer standards.

• Experience coordinating with customer representatives and external test labs during acceptance and certification phases.

• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious experience and certifications

• Background in testing and validation for C4ISR systems or tactical IT platforms.

• Experience from planning and executing EMC testing.

• Applied knowledge of systems engineering V&V frameworks (e.g. INCOSE, ISO 15288).

• Experience using PLM and requirements tools such as Teamcenter, DOORS, Polarion or similar.

• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification or equivalent certification.
