Wind & Turbine Performance Engineer

At OX2, we accelerate access to renewable energy at scale. As Wind & Turbine Performance Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping successful wind projects by analyzing wind climates, optimizing layouts, and ensuring turbine performance from planning through procurement. 

Your main responsibilities 

• Plan and support wind measurement campaigns together with Wind Analysts 
• Perform wind and site analyses: long-term climate assessments, AEP calculations, P50/P90 estimations 
• Carry out noise and shadow calculations and manage consultants for AEP reporting 
• Contribute to turbine selection and micro siting to optimize layouts 
• Assess turbine performance, including power curves, inflow conditions, and control system impacts 
• Provide expert input on turbine contracts, warranties, and test methods 
• Collaborate with colleagues and turbine manufacturers to ensure technical and contractual alignment 

Your qualifications 

• Degree in engineering or equivalent technical background 
• Experience in wind resource assessment, wind & site analysis, or energy yield estimation 
• Experience with tools such as WindPRO, along with strong expertise in CFD, will be considered a significant advantage
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret wind data and turbine performance metrics 
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset 
• A genuine interest in renewable energy and contributing to a sustainable future
