Key Account Manager Retail and Consumer France - Position Based in Paris Area

Main duties and responsibilities

As a strategic partner, you'll assume complete responsibility for overseeing business operations with retail and consumer clients in France. With a focus on corporate sales and profit objectives, you'll craft customized sales strategies and execute customer development plans to drive profitable growth.

As a KAM Retail and Consumer, you will:

  • Take over the sales and contribution margin for the Consumer Segment including booth food retailer and specialized retailers.
  • Manage the customer's headquarters in terms of developing strategic and operational customer plans, considering the jointly defined optimal utilization of the value chain.
  • Independently prepare and conduct initial and annual discussions with customers at the headquarters level, including steering the implementation of annual agreements.
  • Prepare offers, track, and document the status until commissioning, and prepare contract documents.
  • Plan, control, and analyze sales, turnover, and revenue developments, including the analysis of the competitive environment and market potentials, as well as deriving measures.
  • Plan, control, and adhere to the defined key accounts of customers, considering sales and profit targets as well as approved budgets.
  • be an active member of the French Sales team, collaborate and coordinate with sales management, serve as the interface between the customer side and all involved departments.
  • be the central point of contact for customers regarding operational and strategic issues and topics, as well as within the Duni organization in cross-functional collaboration with customer service/sales support, controlling, marketing, planning, and logistics departments.

Who are you?

  • You have between 5 to 10 years’ experience in non-food retail in France
  • You are fluent in English (mandatory) and ideally speak German or Italian
  • You actively and willingly take initiative and responsibility to realize things and achieve goal.
  • You can acquire knowledge about our business concept, customers, competitors, and the market.
  • You have a keen interest in the company's strategy and the ability to implement it into your own plans and daily work.
  • You can create a vision to motivate, inspire people, achieve a common goal, and know how to adapt your leadership to the needs of the business, the team, and the individual (situational leadership).
  • You actively work in a team, encourage collaboration, and support other team members.
  • You work effectively and set priorities.
  • You can lead discussions and solve a problem in an acceptable way for both sides and can make agreements with a skillful approach while avoiding disputes and confrontations.
