As an associate in Transaction Advisory, you’ll work as part of a diverse team and be passionate about understanding the issues that drive value within a transaction for our clients. The competitive and constantly evolving landscape calls for an approach that puts what’s right first, you will need to learn from those around you, discuss your ideas and ask the difficult questions to support our clients in achieving the maximum value from their transaction. Our Transactional Advisory Services practise comprises of more that 200 people across the country including 16 partners. Whether our clients are private equity houses looking to acquire their next portfolio company or entrepreneurs looking to exit having successfully built a business, they benefit from the breadth and depth of experience and resource within the team.

Our three-year graduate programme is designed to take you on a journey from graduate to professionally qualified. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll experience during your first three years:
• Hands on experience in the different aspects of Transaction Advisory including within our focus Financial Services and Sale and Purchase Agreement Advisory teams, with a variety of clients
• Responsibility from early in your career, with opportunities to take ownership for interesting and challenging client work
• The work you’ll do with our clients is of huge importance. As part of our advisory process, you’ll work as part of a team to make sure our clients extract maximum value from a transaction
• You will be helping private equity houses, corporates and entrepreneurs understand the financial performance of the business at the heart of the transaction. You’ll be interested in financial trends and have a keen sense of ‘why’ in understanding the reasons a business has performed the way it has and how it might perform in the future. This process of summarising and commenting on the performance of the business is called Financial Due Diligence in the context of a transaction (or FDD). Our findings can signifcantly alter the value of a transaction which makes this work vitally important
