We are looking to recruit an Analyst to our Leveraged Finance team in Stockholm working mainly on leveraged finance transactions in the Financial Sponsors value chain.
Leveraged Finance is a unit within the Corporate and Investment Banking division (CIB). It is responsible for the Financial Sponsor client segment, including the leveraged finance loan product. The team consists of more than 30 employees located in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Germany. We support our clients across all SEB’s core markets.
About the role:
As an Analyst within Leveraged Finance you will be part of an ambitious and committed group which emphasizes teamwork and collaboration as we believe these aspects not only contribute to our success but also makes our work more rewarding and fun. You will be given the opportunity to work with one of SEB’s most exciting client groups and being part of a dynamic and rapidly developing part of the credit markets.
You can expect to work on both managing existing relationships and exposures, participating in onboarding new clients and the origination of transactions. Tasks are varied and include financial modelling, assisting in credit analysis, reviewing due diligence materials and credit documentation, compiling counterparts and credit market data, preparing internal and external presentations material and credit applications.
You will get exposure to all parts of the leveraged finance value chain and gain increasing responsibility of various parts as you grow your experience. Clients are very demanding and M&A transactions are characterized by tight deadlines and rapidly changing circumstances as negotiations move forward. Clients expect a very high service level. Competition for our products typically comes from not only Nordic banks but also from international investment banks and direct lending credit funds. A service mindset, adaptability and resiliency are therefore prerequisites for a successfully completing projects.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
· A relevant academic degree within Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar
· Up to around two years of relevant experience within financing and analysis
· Analytical capacity, numeracy, strong financial modelling and PowerPoint skills
· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
· Ability to digest and summarise large amounts of information
· Proficiency in English and Swedish
· A curious and analytical mindset, a passion for learning as well as the drive to succeed in a high paced environment servicing sophisticated clients
