Category- & Business Development Manager

About the Role

The Category- & Business Development Manager role offers an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for business development to contribute to our growth and success. You will play a crucial role in supporting the direction of our product categories and driving business growth through strategic initiatives.

The role requires a deep understanding of market analysis, category growth and who to build strong internal and external partnerships in order to ensure our product offerings align with customers' expectations and sustainability goals.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to create and implement strategies that enhance our competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with company objectives and market demands.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive product development initiatives and ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to foster collaboration and growth.
  • Monitor and report on category performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet targets.
  • Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving product offerings and enhancing market presence.

Who are you?

You should possess a relevant degree in business, marketing, or a related field and demonstrate a proven track record of working internationally across multiple channels; wholesale, retail, E-commerce (own & 3rd Party). Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders within the HoReCa or Hospitality Segment is also needed.

Proven experience in developing and executing successful category strategies that drive growth and profitability is essential. You should have a track record of leveraging market insights to influence decision-making and achieve business objectives. A strong understanding of sustainability practices and trends is highly desirable, as it aligns with our commitment to providing eco-friendly solutions.

Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will exhibit a range of skills and competencies that are essential for success in this role. Strong analytical skills are crucial for interpreting market data and making informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will facilitate effective collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. The ability to think strategically and creatively will enable you to identify innovative opportunities for category growth. Additionally, strong project management skills will be necessary to oversee initiatives from conception to execution. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is also required to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
