About the role

You will join our Financial Risk Management team in Stockholm. We work at the intersection of risk, data and business, with a focus on credit risk optimization, profitability and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will take ownership of complex analyses, develop methods and tools, and turn risk insights into practical recommendations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and colleagues across SEB Kort and the wider SEB Group, combining day-to-day portfolio steering with strategic initiatives and international projects.

In this role, you will:

Analyze and monitor financial risks across SEB Kort Group, with a primary focus on credit risk, capital adequacy and IFRS 9 expected credit losses.
Translate complex portfolio, capital and profitability data into clear insights that support strategic decisions, portfolio steering and sustainable growth.
Shape and improve risk methodologies, analytical tools, data governance and scalable processes.
Interpret regulatory developments and help implement requirements arising from CRR/CRD, Basel standards, EBA guidelines and IFRS 9.
Lead and contribute to strategic risk management initiatives and cross-functional projects aimed at improving risk measurement, capital efficiency and portfolio performance, including the continued development and integration of our international business.
Build strong partnerships across Risk, Finance, Business and IT within SEB Kort and the wider SEB Group.

To succeed, you should be comfortable working both independently and with stakeholders across different functions and be motivated by continuous learning and improvement.

To be successful in this position, you have:

A relevant university degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering or a similar field.
At least three years of relevant experience in financial risk, capital management or a related area within banking or financial services.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with large or complex datasets and end-to-end processes.
The ability to structure and communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Programming skills in SAS, Python, SQL or equivalent tools used for data analysis.
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English; Swedish is an advantage.

It is an advantage if you have experience with ICLAAP, IFRS 9, capital adequacy, modelling within risk or profitability. You do not need to be an expert in every area from day one - we value strong foundations, curiosity and the ability to grow into a broader role.
