Domain Architect / Data Governance Specialist

Do you want to play a key role in shaping how data is governed and utilized across Atea’s international organization?

This is an opportunity to work in a cross-functional and international setting where you will contribute to building the structures, processes, and governance needed to ensure high-quality, reliable, and business critical data.

Your role

You will join Atea Group Finance’s Information Management function, working as part of the One Data Platform & Governance team. The team operates in a modern, cloud-based data landscape and supports a large scale enterprise environment with ongoing strategic initiatives, including the rollout of SAP S/4HANA and increased focus on AI and data driven decision making.

In this role, you will take an active part in establishing and maturing Atea’s data governance capabilities. You will work closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that data is managed as a strategic asset across the organization.

You will not only define frameworks and standards but also support their implementation and continuous improvement in real operational contexts. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, where you act as a bridge between business needs and data platform capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks, processes, and standards
Driving the implementation of data ownership and stewardship across the organization
Developing and maintaining information models aligned with business requirements
Ensuring structured metadata management, including classification, cataloging, and lineage
Working with tools such as Microsoft Purview and supporting governance within Microsoft Fabric
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR and ISO 27001
Defining and following up on processes for data quality and lifecycle management
Measuring governance maturity and driving continuous improvements
Supporting and strengthening data literacy within the organization

You will collaborate with stakeholders across business domains such as finance, logistics, and sales, as well as IT, data platform teams, and information security. The work is closely connected to ongoing transformation initiatives where structured and reliable data is critical for success.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who combines strong data expertise with a sharp analytical mindset and clear business understanding. You are comfortable navigating complex data environments, able to identify patterns, priorities, and improvement areas, and turn them into concrete actions that strengthen data quality and governance. You work in a structured way, keep momentum over time, and ensure that initiatives move from idea to implementation while always keeping focus on how data creates measurable business value.

You likely have experience working with data governance, data management, or information architecture, and have been involved in initiatives where data structure, compliance, and quality have been central.

We believe you have:

Experience from working with data governance, data management, or similar roles
A solid understanding of information modeling and data quality practices
Experience with metadata management, data catalogues, or similar solutions
Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric or equivalent)
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and ISO 27001
Experience collaborating across both business and IT functions

It is considered an advantage if you also have experience from:

Tools such as Microsoft Purview, Power BI, or similar
ERP environments, especially SAP/S4HANA
Azure or other modern cloud-based data platforms
Agile ways of working or change management initiatives
