We are looking for a driven Engineering Manager to lead the Release & Test Automation team within our Payments & Reporting area. This team plays a crucial role in SEB’s top strategic initiative, the Payment Roadmap, by improving release and deploy processes and advancing end-to-end test automation.
About the Role
The Release & Test Automation team supports feature teams across our domain, focusing on Release & Deploy management and end-to-end test automation through the frameworks we develop.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead, coach, and inspire your team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll partner with other managers and stakeholders in the domain to understand their needs, monitor team performance, and ensure solutions align with SEB’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team by setting clear targets, building confidence, and empowering team members to exceed expectations.
- Actively participate in the management team and Payment Roadmap, driving the test automation and release agenda.
- Champion change and innovation in release and deploy practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement to ensure efficient workflows, high-quality releases, and well-tested solutions.
Act as an ambassador for your team, advocating for best practices in Release & Deploy and Test Automation.

Your skills and qualifications include:
- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams or project organizations.

- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, particularly in Release & Deploy management.
