We are looking to hire a Fixed Income, Commodities and Currencies (FICC) Strategist to join SEB’s Strategy & Economic Research team within our Corporate & Investment Banking division.
If you are excited by financial markets, macroeconomics, quantitative and research-driven trading ideas, we would be delighted to hear from you.
SEB’s Strategy & Economic Research team is a top-ranked Nordic research team covering macroeconomics, foreign exchange, fixed income and commodities. The team comprises around 20 strategists, analysts, and economists based in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Singapore.
We provide macro research, analysis and strategy across a broad range of products, markets, topics and regions. Our work supports internal stakeholders, clients and media.
As a FICC Strategist, your primary focus will be on fixed-income and foreign-exchange markets. You will conduct research from both fundamental and data-driven perspectives, which may include maintaining, running and further developing our models. You will primarily contribute to our tactical research, supporting forecasts and trading recommendations, while also writing and helping to produce research reports.
We expect our research activities to be significantly influenced and transformed by AI over the coming years. We therefore prefer a candidate with strong technical skills and an educational background that will enable them to contribute to, leverage and support this transition.
It is our fundamental belief that inclusion and diversity is crucial for our future success. We strive to have an inclusive, value-driven culture where employees feel valued, respected, and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe or where they come from.
Please submit your CV and cover letter, describing who you are and how you can contribute to SEB’s Strategy & Economic Research team. We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible, and no later than 30 September.
For questions about the position, please contact Karl Steiner, Head of Analysis, Strategy & Economic Research, at karl.steiner@seb.se
Please be aware that our final candidates undergo background checks, a process that includes for example identity control, verification of qualifications, credit checks, company engagements and history of crime. In some cases, we also apply random drug checks. During employment, employees within SEB can also expect to undergo recurring background checks.
