Group Head of Legal

We are now looking for a Group Head of Legal to join us!

The role

In the role as Group Head of Legal you'll lead and develop the legal function, ensuring effective corporate governance, legal risk management, compliance and strategic legal support across the group. It combines legal expertise with a business-oriented mindset to support and enable key initiatives.

You will report to our CHRO and have a team of two lawyers and two student legal assistans that reports to you.

Key responsibilities

• Being a legal business partner to the organization, supporting and advising the business in commercial negotiations, partnerships, and product innovation
• Develop and drive governance frameworks and forums across the group and support in board and executive matters
• Act as strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on legal and regulatory risk
• Manage and set the strategy for the legal department and team
• Develop and maintain contract templates (including general terms), legal tools, and policies and drive best practices for contract management across the business
• Deliver legal training and scalable processes to support the business
• Help define and coordinate compliance areas and support the company’s compliance efforts in collaboration with other departments, for example data privacy, consumer protection, sustainability and marketing
• Own and manage corporate structure, shareholder matters and investor-related topics
• Take a core role in strategic, cross-functional projects, such as fundraising
• Manage a network of external expert advisors

Requirements

• Nordic law degree, with a strong track record from Swedish law
• Around 10 years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house roles
• Have a strong background in commercial and corporate law, with solid contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Comfortable operating independently and cross-functionally in a dynamic environment
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, business-minded approach
• High integrity, sound judgment and decisiveness under pressure
• Ability to move between strategic and high-level perspectives down to detailed hands-on matters
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
