We are now looking for a Head of Stakeholder Management to join our business. This is a strategically important role where you will be a key person in our work to strengthen Fortum's position in the Swedish wind power market in the coming years. The location of the position depends on your preference and can be in any region of Sweden. We have offices for example in Stockholm, Östersund, Karlstad, Gothenburg and Malmö.
About the role
As Head of Stakeholder Management you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Fortum's strong relationships with stakeholders in our wind and solar power development projects.
The role will promote local engagement for our business, which is crucial for the success of our projects. The role involves ensuring that stakeholder needs and expectations are effectively managed and that their engagement with the project or business is positive and productive. The role involves working with stakeholder management during the project development phase of the project, i.e. from start to construction.
In the role as Head of Stakeholder Management, the following will be part of your responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Stakeholder Management team in Sweden.
Developing strategies: Creating and implementing strategies to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in each project.
Communication: Ensuring clear and regular communication with stakeholders through various channels.
Support to Project Managers and Regional Managers: A coaching role in managing local media contacts, as well as responsibility for local press contacts and project-related news, in collaboration with Fortum’s newsdesk/press manager.
Engagement: Organizing and leading meetings, workshops, and other engagement activities to gather feedback and build relationships.
Analysis: Conduct stakeholder analyses to identify and understand stakeholder needs, expectations, and impacts.
Reporting: Document and report on stakeholder engagement and feedback to the project team.
Risk management: Identify and manage risks related to stakeholder engagement and impact on the project.
Branding: Develop and implement strategies to maintain and reinforce Fortum's brand with stakeholders. This includes ensuring that Fortum's values and brand promises are communicated clearly and consistently.
Collaboration internally: Be the first point of contact with Fortum’s Corporate Relations Businesses (CRB) team to ensure that all efforts are aligned with Fortum's overall communication plans, the wind and solar communication plan, brand strategy, and visual identity.
The Fortum organization has key experts in each area of Wind and Solar (engineering, construction, operation), as well as more business-related experts (procurement, offtake, and strategy) to support you in your work. The final scope of your role in the team will be adapted based on your expertise, experience, but also your interests.
This role requires the ability to travel several days a month in the course of your duties. You will be reporting to the Head of Development Sweden.
About you
The following competences will help you to success in the role as Head of Stakeholder Management:
Education: Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, business administration or similar.
Experience: Several years in stakeholder management or related fields. Several years of experience in stakeholder management in wind power and solar projects.
Competences: Strong communication and relationship building skills, project management skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
Languages: Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Personal characteristics:
Communicative: Easy to communicate with multiple stakeholder groups
Empathetic: Ability to understand and relate to stakeholder perspectives and needs.
Proactive: Ability to take initiative and drive engagement activities forward.
Flexible: Adaptable and able to manage change and different stakeholder needs.
