Lead DevOps Engineer - Svea Solar

Svea Solar is one of Sweden’s leading energy tech companies. Our mission is simple: to rid the planet of fossil fuels! To bring this mission to life, we are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer.

The role

As our Lead DevOps Engineer you’ll be responsible for setting up and managing our AWS platform with full ownership of the structure of our cloud infrastructure. You’ll be part of a small, agile development tech organization with three cross-functional teams and report directly to our Head of Engineering Danny Hajj.

The role includes:

Responsibility over our AWS plattform
Working with CI/CD, testing, and automation
Taking ownership and managing our Kubernetes clusters to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Engage in close collaboration with our developers, actively participating in meetings to understand their needs and support their success.
Support developers by educating them on the platform, driving learning, and developing platform services to enhance their workflow.

For you to succeed in the role, we believe you should:

Have multiple years’ experience working with cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools.
Have knowledge of the full software development life cycle and delivery using agile practices.
Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or other tools.

If you also have at least two of the following, we are sure we would be a good match:

Experience in code development in at least one object-oriented programming language.
Experience with automating cloud-native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
Experience with self-hosted Grafana observability stack
