Manager to Intraday Liquidity Management | SEB, Stockholm

About the role
The market is going through the fastest change journey ever where many currencies around the world are future proofing their payment and settlement solutions. At the same time, the geopolitical landscape is changing. Both have a huge impact on market behavior and intraday liquidity management. Group Treasury is looking for a new manager within Intraday Liquidity Management to lead a team of highly skilled specialists.
 
Intraday Liquidity Management (ILM), within Group Treasury, consist of two areas: ILM Management, responsible for the daily liquidity management, and ILM Development that work with strategic issues and business development. The vacant position is manager for ILM Management.
 
ILM Management is the core of the bank where the regulatory requirements are rapidly increasing.  As manager you will be responsible for adherence to those regulatory expectations, for instance, the quality of the daily deliveries of for all currencies offered by SEB.
 
The daily activities consist of:  
• Forecasting
• Monitoring and optimization
• End of day management
 
The team consists of 12 highly skilled specialists with many years of experience who work in a fast environment, very close to currency cut off-times. Things can change quickly, and contingency readiness is a prioritized area and a major part of your responsibility. You will lead the team, and SEB, from a liquidity point of view, through disruptions where ordinary ways of working are unavailable. Such situations require clear leadership and communication skills with swift and sound decisions. It is also crucial to be on-site with the team, especially during contingency.
 
In this role you will report to Head of ILM.
               
To thrive in this role, we believe that you:
 ·       Have several years of proven leadership experience with qualities to inspire, challenge, coach, lead and empower people.
·       Have courage to act and lead in stressed situations while keeping your calm.
·       Are very capable of leading your team by assessing and understanding risks on a theoretical level and transform them into activities.
·       Are eager to learn. The area is extensive, and the pace is high. It is important that you interested in the area to be able to take in a lot of new knowledge quickly.
·       Are a true leader with the ability to build trust and relationships on all levels within the organization.
·       Are fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken).
 
We see it as an advantage if you have:
·       Experience from payment- and settlement infrastructure, both internationally as well as domestic.
