At Ovako, you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in practice while working on development projects that make a real difference. Our Master's thesis projects are based on genuine business challenges and are carried out in close collaboration with experienced specialists in production, materials engineering, research, and development. Every year, we welcome students who bring fresh perspectives while gaining valuable experience within an international industrial company where technology, innovation, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We are now looking for Master's students in engineering who would like to carry out their thesis at one of our sites in Hofors, Boxholm, Smedjebacken, Hällefors, or Hallstahammar. If you already have an idea for your thesis, we would be delighted to hear it. We also offer thesis projects based on current business needs and ongoing development initiatives. We are looking for students pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering, preferably within Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering and Management, or another relevant technical discipline. You are curious, analytical, and have a genuine interest in technology and development. You enjoy understanding complex challenges, work in a structured manner, and thrive in collaborative environments where people with different areas of expertise work together. As you will be working in an international environment, you should have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. We also expect you to have a good understanding of Swedish, as parts of the business, documentation, and day-to-day communication are primarily conducted in Swedish. Recruitment Process Applications will be reviewed continuously during the autumn of 2026 for Master's thesis projects starting in the spring of 2027. As part of the recruitment process, you will have the opportunity to meet your future supervisor and representatives from the business.
