Nordic Project Excellence Lead

WSP is looking for a driven and experienced specialist to lead and develop our project operations in the Nordics, with a particular focus on Sweden. In this role, you will be a key player in driving project delivery, improvement initiatives, and ensuring optimal project outcomes.

Your Responsibilities:

Project and Program Management (PPM) – Process Lead (RPL)

• Own the PPM and Opportunity-to-Cash (O2C) workstreams and work closely with process owners and decision-makers.
• Coordinate with other regions to ensure consistent standards and best practices.
• Provide input to the global team to ensure optimal alignment.
• Act as a change agent, driving transformation in Sweden and the Nordics.
• Establish and manage a regional super user community for project management.
• Manage any region-specific language, legal, or compliance requirements.

Strengthening Project Leadership (SPL) Programme Lead

• Lead the SPL programme, ensuring our project methodologies are best-in-class and that the right people fill the right roles on our projects.
• Drive excellence in project delivery across Sweden and the Nordic business, being the go-to person for all project delivery matters.
• Lead initiatives to improve and develop project delivery methodologies in line with business needs and priorities.
• Collaborate closely with global and local teams to continually evolve project delivery and ways of working.

Project Review and Compliance

• Conduct deep-dive project reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and best practices.
• Support the Project Performance Review process across Sweden and ensure that sectors establish effective equivalent processes.

• Reduction of insurance claims through improved project governance and established delivery frameworks.

Qualifications

We are looking for a strategic and business-minded leader with extensive (10 - 15 years) experience from the area mentioned above. You have long experience from large infrastructure type projects. For you to be successful in this role, we value your competence regarding both in financial results and in relationship building. 

Below you have a list with the basic requirements for this role:

• A passion for excellence in project delivery and continual improvement, particularly in project governance, risk management, cost budgeting, and revenue recognition.
• A strong understanding of Swedish and global ways of working, with experience managing large projects.
• Excellent collaboration, presentation, and communication skills, with experience developing and delivering training materials.
• The ability to juggle multiple activities and stakeholder interests while remaining organized and focused on top priorities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
