Product Manager Food Packaging Solutions

About the Role 

This role focuses on developing and managing our Boxes & Bowls assortment in the Takeaway segment.

As a Product Manager in the Food Packaging Solutions business area you will play a critical role in developing and securing an attractive, relevant, and profitable assortment. Your mission will be to understand customer needs, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities and threats, all to create exceptional customer value.

This position focuses on innovation, growth, and strategic development, offering you the chance to shape both your role and our category’s success. You will collaborate closely with the Sourcing Manager and Project Manager for Boxes & Bowls and together you create a strong team to achieve our ambitious targets. 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Lead product lifecycle: From ideation to phase-out, ensuring our portfolio remains competitive and innovative.  
  • Develop category strategies: Create and implement category plans and roadmaps aligned with our strategic goals, including product positioning, pricing, assortment and channel strategies.
  • Analyze market insights: Continuously assess trends, competitor activity, material developments, regulatory changes, and customer needs.
  • Act as the internal and external category expert: represent the category in cross-functional and external forums, showcasing leadership and deep product knowledge. .  
  • Drive marketing collaboration: Work closely with marketing to ensure accurate communication material.
  • Track performance: Monitor and evaluate category result,  to inform future strategies.

You combine a structured mindset with a willingness to take initiative, and you enjoy both leading projects and build strong collaboration with stakeholders both internally and externally.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have: 

  • A BA/BSc degree in business, science, marketing, or a related field. 
  • Experience in category management portfolio management, innovation, or product development. 
  • Strong expertise in packaging materials and packaging regulations, or a strong interest and ability to learn quickly.
  • An understanding of sales processes, ideally within  sustainable packaging solutions or a related FMCG sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, as you will be working in an international environment.
