The location of the position depends on your preference and can be in any region of Sweden. We have offices for example in Stockholm, Östersund, Karlstad Göteborg and Malmö.
About the role
In the role as Project Development Manager, your key tasks will be:
Lead and coordinate the project team
Mapping of potential new wind project areas
Negotiating land lease agreements
Managing permitting process
In practice, this means working closely and communicating with the various external stakeholders including land owners, politicians, authorities, neighbors, associations, consultants, advisors, suppliers etc.
The role will also involve you in the development of hybrid projects where we combine wind, solar, battery energy storage (BESS) and other renewable energy sources.
The Fortum organization has key experts in each area of Wind and Solar (engineering, construction, operation), as well as more business-related experts (procurement, offtake, and strategy) to support you in your work. The final scope of your role in the team will be adapted based on your expertise, experience, but also your interests.
You will be reporting to the Head of Wind Project Development Sweden.
About you
The following competences will help you to success in the role as Project Development Manager:
Several years of experience from corresponding tasks
A university degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, economics, or business administration
Strong understanding concerning wind power business
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, authorities, landowners, and other stakeholders.
Ability to create trust among various stakeholders
Ability to successfully negotiate and finalize agreements
Capability to work independently and effectively
Fluency in Swedish and English is essential
