We are now looking for two Regional Managers to join our business. This is a strategically important role where you will be a key person in our work to strengthen Fortum's position in the Swedish wind power market in the coming years. About the role
Fortum is investing heavily in the Swedish wind power market and is now dividing its operations into regions to ensure a local presence and strong local engagement. Our goal is to create sustainable business that combines social responsibility with profitability, and we put innovation and creativity at the centre of everything we do.
As part of this endeavour, we are now looking for a business-oriented and visionary Regional Manager to lead and develop our wind power business at both local and regional level. Your task will be to build long-term relationships, identify new business opportunities and ensure that our projects contribute to sustainable development for both society and Fortum.
In the role as Regional Manager, the following will be part of your responsibilities:
Represent Fortum as a business strategist and relationship builder locally and regionally in wind power and related business areas.
Develop and implement regional strategies that strengthen the company's market position and ensure long-term profitability, with a focus on local and regional development.
Identify and develop business opportunities linked to the wind power business, both through new projects and synergies with other business areas.
Lead and coordinate business-driven initiatives at regional level to maximise the value of Fortum's investments while creating new revenue streams.
Build strategic relationships with policy makers, business leaders and other key stakeholders to secure support and partnership for Fortum's projects.
Promote increased political engagement from municipalities and regions to create favourable conditions for the development of Fortum's project portfolio.
Strengthen Fortum's market position by participating in regional forums, public meetings and strategic networks to promote the company's business objectives and brand.
Be responsible for strategic communication for wind power linked to the region and act as a spokesperson to position Fortum as the leading player in local wind power business.
Act as a catalyst for innovation and creativity, creating new collaborations and initiatives that promote growth and competitiveness in a changing market environment.
About you
To be successful in the role as Regional Manager, we see that you bring the following competences:
Several years of experience in a leadership role in policy, sales or business development.
An academic degree is an advantage, but your personal qualities and proven track record in the relevant field will be emphasized.
Innovative and creative problem solver with the ability to think strategically and find solutions outside the traditional framework.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and build high-level trusting relationships.
Deep knowledge of rural policy and a strong ability to navigate complex political and administrative landscapes.
Analytical and strategic skills, with an ability to plan long-term and identify business opportunities in a changing environment.
Business-driven and negotiating skills, with an ability to create win-win solutions for all parties. Naturally strives for as many winners as possible.
Experience in political activities is highly meritorious.
Fluent language skills in both English and Swedish, written and spoken.
