About the role:
As a Risk controller for alternative investments at SEB Asset Management in the Risk & Performance team, you will be a part of the Risk and Performance team. You will work closely with the Portfolio management teams for Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure as well as other parts of the organization to ensure that our funds adhere to relevant laws and regulation and follow their risk profiles at all parts of their life cycle. You will evaluate the performance of our funds and present to relevant boards. You will be given the opportunity to really shape and design the workflows and framework for what we do going forward.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
· Previous experience working with Alternative Investments: You understand the unique challenges and opportunities presented by alternative asset classes, such as private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure investments. Also knowledge of Risk Profiling and KRI setting for alternative funds as well as ELTIF products would be an advantage.
· Hands-on experience with AIFMD reporting: Familiarity with the reporting process and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex information: You are detail-oriented and capable of interpreting, analyzing, and presenting complex data to support effective risk management decisions. Previous experience with Risk Monitoring for alternative funds in relation to Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Counterparty Risk, Non-Financial Risk and Sustainability Risk.
· Great communication skills and fluency in English and Swedish: You can effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, conveying complex risk concepts clearly and concisely.
· A proactive and structured approach: You excel at prioritizing tasks and working independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
· Knowledge of risk frameworks and metrics: Experience with risk assessment, performance measurement, and key indicators for alternative investments, including both quantitative and qualitative dimensions.
· Collaborative mindset: A team player who thrives in cross-functional environments, working closely with portfolio managers, compliance teams, and senior management.
· A commitment to continuous learning: Keeping up-to-date with changes in regulations, market trends, and best practices within alternative investments and risk management.
