Risk Management is a key unit within SEB Life, responsible for coordinating risk management activities across the SEB Insurance Group. Our team in Sweden consists of seven specialists that covers the fields of Operational Risk, Third-Party Management, Data Privacy, Security & Information Security, and Customer Complaints.
Your Role
As a Risk Manager in the 1st LoD, your mission is to continuously develop the frameworks for internal control, third-party management, and operational risk for the Life Division and business area Sweden. You will manage key processes and tools, for i.e. risk assessments, incident handling, business continuity planning. Additionally, you will provide hands-on support to the organization applying best practices and the use of common tools.
In your role, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues in the Risk Management team and a network of key stakeholders in the organization. You will also coordinate the divisional agenda in your areas of expertise, share best practices, and produce reports to management.
To Thrive in this role, we believe you have:
- A relevant university degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in risk management and internal control.
- Experience in audit, consultancy or-/and a background in the insurance industry is considered meritorious.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Skilled in relating to regulations and translating them to concrete internal rules and procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant frameworks such as COSO and ISO 31000.
- Project management experience and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Proficiency in both English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
