We at the MI Tribe, in the Mainframe Development Solutions, are currently seeking for a Solution Developer who will collaborate with our development team to excel in the different services we provide to the mainframe organization such as Development Environments, Tools, Education and Support to developers on different applications areas at SEB (SEB Card, Cash Ledger , Payments, etc). About the role
As a Mainframe Solution Developer you will develop, maintain and improve existing IT solutions and tools, in order to continuously deliver value for SEB. This role will identify and drive solution approaches which supports technology modernization within and outside the Mainframe platforms, as well as supporting on LCM activities to be ALWAYS ON. This is a hands-on individual contributor, working directly with our development teams to coordinate, plan, develop and implement consistent and repeatable tools, as much as possible utilizing automation and agile principles.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Systems with higher-level education preferred.
• Minimum experience will include 3+ years of performing solutions for development tools, in native and virtualized environment.
• Direct hands-on experience with the IBM Z mainframe platform, including source code handling tools.
• Experience in Mainframe based technologies: COBOL, Rexx, z/OS, JCL, ISPF, Db2, IMS.
• Important to have Knowledge about CI/CD, Git, GitHub.
• Good to have: VS Code, Docker (z/CX), Linux, ZOWE, XINFO, MFS, Assembler, and Easytrieve.
• Demonstrated success introducing new technologies and development methodologies to an engineering team.
• Analytical mindset and ability to grasp complex topics.
• Ability to create and foster relationships within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Fluent in English.
