The Supply Planning Manager is part of the Swedish central planning team and will be leading a team of six Supply Planners. The team manages a range of areas which mainly consists of:
• Production planning for a range of categories, primarily for our Malmö plant
• Co-pack planning towards factories in both Sweden and around Europe
• Import flows for various Lactalis Group brands
• Material- and ingredients planning for a range of suppliers, including call-off responsibilities.
In addition to managing the team and operations in the areas mentioned above, the person in this role is also a key player when it comes to ensuring preparation and execution in relation to the Operations Review in our IBP-process.
Below you will find the key responsibilities that the role of Supply Planning Manager holds.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• You manage your team of six and help them grow together with the company
• Ensure the daily operations to support service level and waste targets.
• The main KPIs your performance will be measured on are service level, waste, efficiency improvements (e.g. in relation to costs or cash flow), working capital and success rate/accuracy in relation to projects and process improvements.
• You will collaborate closely with colleagues from other departments such as Industry and Milk Collection to both ensure the daily operations and improving mutual processes. The Demand Planners are other important internal stakeholders.
• You will build strong relationships with our external stakeholders such as suppliers, copackers and Customers.
• In connection with our IBP process, through which we steer the business, you will play a role in preparing status on our suppliers, a review of capacity and highlight any potential risks and opportunities.
• Ensure a continuous follow-up of the team KPIs and immediately take the initiative to act on any deviations.
• While you will not conduct the daily planning and call offs yourself, we expect you to think and collaborate with the stakeholders involved continuously to manage capacity constraints, launches and improvements to our mutual processes.
• The person in this role will represent Supply Chain in launch projects to ensure compliance and feasibility in relation to logistics setup, MOQ, stock turnover and logistics cost.
• Together with the team, the person is actively working to optimize stock levels, not only in relation to service level but also with an emphasis on working capital.
• As we are currently in the middle of a big transformation project (implementation of ERP-system) you will spend much time on change management and establishing new routines together with the team.
• The person in this role will be asked to contribute to business cases as well as performing other ad-hoc analysis to support decision making.
Profile we are looking for
We are mainly focused on the character and ability of the person coming into the team which means that we do not have strict requirements for what the profile of our ideal candidate looks like. However, we do have some points that we will look for to identify appropriate candidates.
• University degree, preferably within the area of Supply Chain or equivalent. If you do not have a degree, we will look for equivalent experience.
• Several years’ experience from similar assignments in an FMCG company. It is beneficial if you have worked in an established S&OP/IBP process in these assignments.
• You have experience leading a team along with the ability and personality to motivate during both day-to-day activities and change processes.
• Experience from working with ERP systems. Previous work with M3/Movex is considered meriting.
• Good at networking and establishing relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, both internal and external (e.g. Customers, executives, operations and suppliers). Experience working with international stakeholders is also essential.
• You are an advanced user of the MS Office suite where Excel in particular is where your skills are standing out compared to others.
• You have previously worked with BI tools such as QlickSense, Qlickview and PowerBI.
• Fluent oral and written skills in Swedish and English
