Technical Project Manager (TPM)

About the role

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for translating customer project needs into clearly defined development items and ensuring their successful delivery. Acting as a bridge between Customer Market Units, Customer Project Managers, and the Product & R&D teams, the TPM ensures that requirements are well-motivated, documented, and executed efficiently.

The role requires close cross-functional collaboration, particularly with developers and Customer Project Managers. In some cases, direct customer interaction is needed to clarify requirements, align expectations, and guide customers toward existing functionality. The TPM plays a key role in overall development planning, contributing to workload forecasting and roadmap execution across multiple quarters. The role may also include driving internal strategic development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, plan, and secure delivery of development items within customer projects in collaboration with the responsible CPM.

• Translate tender and bid requirements into structured backlog items together with development teams.

• Coordinate development activities to meet customer requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.

• Monitor progress, manage risks, and escalate issues proactively.

• Support technical issue handling related to development within ongoing projects.

• Participate in tenders to gain early understanding of requirements.

• Drive change requests and development clarifications for assigned markets.

• Lead internal development initiatives aligned with the product roadmap.

• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Promote a collaborative and customer-focused mindset across the organization.
  

Qualifications

• Background in software development.

• Experience in cross-functional product development (HW, FW, SW, manufacturing).

• Ability to engage in technical discussions and translate complex requirements into structured plans.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Structured, analytical, and value-driven approach.

• Education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Fluent in English and Swedish.

• Project management experience within software, embedded systems, electronics, or industrial/automotive environments is a strong advantage.
