Our client
Our client, who is a global and world leading actor within their domain, strongly believe in the long-term sustainability of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology. This technology facilitates energy transfer with direct current at high voltages, making it suitable for transmitting energy over long distances and connecting electricity networks with minimal losses. In addition to energy transfer, HVDC technology addresses electricity quality issues and contributes to the stabilization of connected power grids. For offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the most realistic energy transmission alternative.

Our client is growing and is now looking for Test Engineers to join their team in the test department. Together with about 40 colleagues in different roles in the department, you will have a crucial role when it comes to testing. We are looking for you who want to contribute with your thoughts and ideas to develop the business!

About the Role
As a Test Engineer, you will perform tests on various products manufactured at our clients site. These tests include short circuit tests, aging tests and long term tests. Our client are always at the forefront of technology and continuously invest in their facility and equipment. You will be part of a strong team where they help each other develop both technically and personally, with everyone playing an incredibly important role. Our client look at each individual's development and want to promote further development within the organization and the company.

You will perform test and verification activities for assignments of low/medium testing complexity of systems, subsystems or products effectively and cost-efficiently, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. You will also conduct testing according to schedule, as well as prepare test documentation for the project and provide technical support during installation of test objects in the test area.

Key responsibilities 

• Test assignments throughout the process, from test request and technical review to calculations, circuit connection, testing and report writing
• Performing type tests according to international standards as well as development tests for our clients customers, who come from all over the world
• Responsibility for electrical safety and the plant during testing
• Analyzing the results of the testing and writing technical reports
• Regular contact with customers and inspectors during testing
• Together with your colleagues you have the opportunity to develop and improve the business

Requirements for the job

• Educational background within Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power or similar fields, experience in testing activities seen as an advantage
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is very good to have, if not you need to have a willingness to learn

Location: Ludvika, weekdays with working hours during daytime
Availability: Start date as soon as possible
Employment type: You will work as a consultant for 12 months before you have the opportunity to transition to employment with our client
