About SEB’s International Trainee Programme
This programme is all about bringing in exceptional talent to help us disrupt, transform, and lead our business in the future. There is tremendous change happening in banking connected to technology, regulations, and customer needs, so we need to be quick on our feet and challenge ourselves daily to remain at the top of our industry throughout this competitive journey.

SEB is a large, complex international company, so our programme is designed to give you a broad and immersive introduction to working across such an organisation. All participating trainees are offered a specific job role and belong to a home unit for the duration of the programme. The programme, including about 20 positions across Sweden and a few international sites, starts in September and runs for 9 months.

General requirements
You should have a completed academic degree which is relevant to the position you will apply for. It should not be more than three years since you graduated. You are fluent in written and spoken English and it is meriting to have certain previous work experience.

The structure of the programme
The structure of the programme is designed for you to spend 70% of your time in practice on-the-job and 30% with training and collaboration.

On-the-job practice
You belong to a home team from the start where you will get support and inspiration to grow and perform in your job assignment. Together with your manager you will plan rotations and gigs with other units and departments to get a broad understanding of how to work in a large international organization. You also get the chance to plan for an international internship at another SEB office of up to 4 weeks after graduating from the programme.

Training and collaboration
You will participate in learning activities that include trainings in self-leadership, communication, negotiation, and other future competences. You will also have many opportunities to collaborate with fellow trainees, Tech Programme participants, and other colleagues; as well as solve real business challenges and self-drive other programme activities to customize your learning experience. You will be part of learning and influencing our way of working, as well as our culture and values.
