We’re excited to welcome this year’s cohort of aspiring graduates to Kindred Tech, as they embark on their journey through our Accelerate program. What initially began as an experimental approach to recruit and onboard recent graduates into our Tech teams has since evolved into an integral component of our landscape. To gain deeper insights into the remarkable success of this initiative, we spoke with Johan Engberg, Head of Tech Employee Lifecycle and founder of the Accelerate program.
Our collective purpose is to continue to transform gambling by being a trusted source of entertainment that contributes positively to society. We offer our customers a great experience that’s safe and sustainable, while recognising our opportunity to support local communities and taking an active part in preventing harmful gambling.
We will continue to transform gambling by investing in new technology, exciting products, and above all else, our people.
The Accelerate Program
Joining the Kindred graduate program means working on exciting and challenging projects with cutting edge technology and starting to build a network from day one.
From the very start of your first six months of the program you will work directly in your team with support from your mentor, as well as on exciting projects with your fellow graduates. You’ll take part in several tailored learning modules designed to help you develop your skills, grow as a person, and build strong relationships. As a group of graduates, we’ll ensure you work together, to share experiences and challenges from your journey in a safe and secure environment. This experience will prepare you well for a bright future within Kindred Group.
The Boot Camp
We will kick start with a two-week Boot Camp designed to accelerate your start at Kindred.
Week 1: Focus will be on getting you settled in at Kindred and learn about our culture and our core values. What are they and why are they important to us and to you. You will also get to know your fellow graduates and the colleagues that will support you on your journey.
Week 2: During the second week we will focus on the business. How do we achieve success? What is success? What are the different parts of the company and what do they do? How do we work within Tech? Our products, learning by playing.
The 6 months Program
During the remaining time you will mainly be working in your team towards becoming a fully contributing team-member. You will be doing On the Job Training by gradually doing more and more complex tasks related to the team responsibility. You will do this in close collaboration with and supported by your mentor.
We will also set aside time every week for training/workshops/knowledge sharing with the Graduate team. Examples of activities are;
